A reef for the children's table
The children colour in sea creatures at the children's table. A guest photographs the sheets. Then the animals swim on the projector, and every guest can watch. Start for free, with nothing to install. Fish, seahorses and starfish swim without signing in.
Why it suits a wedding
- The children have something to do. Colouring in only needs pencils and paper. And every sheet has somewhere to go: the reef.
- One shared reef. All the animals swim together on one screen. The guests see what the children have coloured in.
- A keepsake. In the bar on the screen, ‘Save picture’ keeps the reef as a picture, for the couple perhaps.
What you need
- A screen. The projector at the venue or a TV, with a laptop. The reef runs on it in the browser.
- Printed sheets. Print them at home beforehand, A4 landscape. One sheet for each child, plus a few spare.
- A phone. To photograph the sheets. One is enough.
- Colouring pencils. Enough for every child at the children's table.
Internet at the venue: the screen and the phone need a connection. Ask about the Wi-Fi beforehand.
Getting ready
- Ask someone. One guest looks after the photos. That leaves the couple free.
- Create the reef. The day before or on the day. A reef lives for 48 hours. Sign in to give it a name if you like.
- Try it at the venue. Open the reef on the projector and send one animal in before the guests arrive.
How it goes
- Colouring in at the children's table. Sheets and pencils are ready. The four little squares in the corners stay blank.
- Take photos. The guest with the phone scans the code on the screen once. Then they photograph one sheet after another.
- Watch. After a few seconds, the animal swims on the projector. If an animal has been given a name, choose ‘Show names’ in the bar on the screen and it appears above the animal.
- Making room. A number of animals swim in the reef at once. When a new one arrives, the oldest makes room.
