A reef for a children's party
The children colour in sea creatures. You take photos of the sheets. Then all the animals swim together on the big screen. Start for free, with nothing to install. Fish, seahorses and starfish swim without signing in.
Which parties it suits
- Under the sea party. The reef is the underwater world. Every child brings an animal into it.
- Mermaid party. The children colour in fish, seahorses and starfish for the mermaids' sea.
- Any other party. Birthday, summer fête, family get-together: wherever children colour in and there is a screen, it works.
What you need
- A screen. A TV with a laptop, a projector or a tablet. The reef runs on it in the browser.
- A phone. To photograph the sheets. One is enough for all the children.
- A printer. For the colouring sheets, A4 landscape. Without a printer, the children take turns colouring in on a phone or tablet.
- Colouring pencils. Enough for every child at the table.
Internet: the screen and the phone need a connection.
Getting ready
- Create the reef. The day before or that morning. A reef lives for 48 hours.
- Print the sheets. One sheet for each child, plus a few spare. Black and white is fine.
- Try it once. Open the reef on the screen and send one animal in. Then you know everything works.
How it goes with a group of children
- Colour in. Every child colours in their animal. The four little squares in the corners stay blank.
- Take photos. A grown-up scans the code on the screen. Then they photograph one sheet after another.
- Watch. After a few seconds, each animal swims in the reef. If an animal has been given a name, choose ‘Show names’ in the bar on the screen and it appears above the animal.
- Making room. A number of animals swim in the reef at once. When a new one arrives, the oldest makes room.
